Took care of a long overdue shop project today.
I typically drain the reservoirs at the end of every day in the shop and this makeshift setup was never great, requiring the use of two hand to turn a valve while restraining the tube from flying everywhere. Also the valves were starting to leak.
Some quick CAD in @adskfusion and a 30 minute 3D print on my @bamboo.labs P1S fixed this. Draining straight into a 5 gallon bucket allows me to dispose of the oily water properly and the compressor only generates a few gallons a year. Very happy with this cap 😊

Fun one this morning! First time this old Yuasa rotary has been on the machine.

One of the more interesting soft jaws I've made to bore tight tolerance holes on these thin aluminum faces. 3D surfaced to relieve the edges of the jaw due to the relatively large internal radius on the part. Worked great, definitely worth time time invested!

Finished up a small production run which required a decent amount of full slotting in aluminum. Ignoring my sfm which was way too high for half the run, I'm super impressed with what I would normally consider a discount endmill, the Accupro line. I sent this 3/8" 3 Flute R.030 ZrN coated endmill through 1,370" (that's 114 feet!!) of full slotting at half depth and it's definitely still usable. Will push it even harder on the next run.

We got a new toy here at SwiftWorks! Now I can see my chip welded drill in amazing detail 🤦🏼 (#21 drill in photo 2)
Swapped out the drill and made a quick pivot to a peck cycle and the process has been extremely reliable since
